That's right
I am officially about-to-be employed. There are still a few negotiations that need to happen, on account of I am now One Who Plays Hardball, but I've accepted the job.
What really cinched it for me was when I saw the Horatio Hornblower DVDs in the stacks. This, to me, says that they know what is really important.
We're still working out the details of when I can get up there and get started, and I'll probably need to register for food stamps given how low the salary is, but that's okay.
Yay for being among the employed!

Congrats! I was just going to comment that Orem has some openings, but sounds you don't need them after all. Sounds like a fun job!
Thanks, Foxyj! That was going to be my next plan if the L**** job didn't work out. But yeah, I'm looking forward to it!
Congratulations!
(for both the job and the card. Yay for Blind Date Boy!)
Congrats to you! And yeah, the blind date boy sounds awesome too. I don't know anybody who does that.
Congrats!
WAY TO GO!
You got it! Yay! I am so thrilled you'll be up here! You're officially invited into The Elite Book Club!
Congrats for getting a real library job at a real library even if it's in the cold snowy wasteland that is Logan. :) Blind date boy definitely seems like someone to look into. Yay! for good blind dates instead of random match ups by people who think they know you but really don't.
yippee!!
Food stamps?
Be serious.
I've actually asked around for you about jobs at the Salt Lake City library system, but they didn't have anything I thought someone with an actual library degree would want. I.e., nothing that even required a degree at all. Congrats on getting a job in L**** without my help.
Good luck with the job
Well done with the job, I'm sure you'll amaze them with your multitude of skills and get that $10 000 pay rise!
Thanks for the good luck and the good wishes, everyone! Sadly I'm not completely out of the woods yet but I'm sure everything will work out for the best in this the best of all possible worlds.
Jer, thanks for keeping an eye out for me, I really appreciate it.
Teppo, yay, you've emerged! It's great to hear from you.
