Wordless Wednesday

Or at least mostly wordless, anyway. Let's see who can put the best story together out of these pics from the weekend.

Possible titles:

What the crap did I just step on???
The Whitest Whitey of them all
Huffing and Puffing
Why Nem's Chacos need to be resoled (or replaced) because she almost went skidding of the edge of a cliff, which put her in a most foul humor

A random foreleg?! Ahhh!

That was my first thought, and would have probably been my reaction had I been on the hike with you.

Yeah. There was a random backleg too, about 4 feet away from the foreleg.

Creepiest thing ever.

Bwahahahaha! I love the random legs. Now I want to make a picture story... I'll see what I can come up with this weekend.

Yeah, that leg thing is so creepy. I guess whatever it belonged to "walked till its legs fell off".

Nem- I saw a 15 yr old (give or take) in the garden centre today, who looks exactly like you. Spooky.

What the?!?! All I can surmise is that a dog (or something) carried that leg away from a ranch. I only know this because our dog used to bring us similar prizes when I was growing up. Ewwww!
Also, I'm sending my Chacos off to be resoled very, very soon.

That was gross. Also, those Chacos aren't for hiking. Maybe that was why you almost skidded off a cliff.

put a story together for the pics? ok!

Pic 1: scene of the crime
Pic 2: Donner party setting
Pic 3: "
Pic 4: remnants of one of the three campers... who happened to be an animal
Pic 5: the two surviving campers
Pic 6: cave that looks like a skull where the last two survivors took shelter for a long freaking time
Pic 7: the last surviving camper that was found by rescue teams

Theeeeeeeee end!

Cool! I'm the survivor in Eva's story! Glad I'm not the one who slid down the mountain and lost a leg.

Nemesis, my story is now up on my website for all to, er, enjoy. Cheers!

Try the wind cave hike at night on a full moon. It is very pretty but I probably won't do it at night again.

As I stepped past the Wind Cave Trail sign, I didn't realize that I hadn't read the sign correctly. I heard a woman's voice yell, "You're going the wrong way!"

As I turned to see who spoke to me, I went off a cliff. I did manage to snap a nice picture on the way down, but I landed very hard. I landed on a young deer and smashed it to bits, but I didn't get to feel sorry for long, as I looked up and saw two women laughing at me for having fallen off the cliff. In my shame, I ran to a nearby cave to hide, but one of the women followed me.

"You have to pay for that deer, you know," she said.

Oh my gosh! I dreamed about this trail the other day and there were scary cowboys and indians (native americans) having some kind of killing and scalping war. It was terribly evil and your pictures totally reminded me of it.

Glad you were safe and didn't meet any mean parties.

I title this, "It's About Time We Got a Look at Spitfire's Face." And an adorable face it is. Not that I didn't have a pretty good idea what it looked like, having seen yours and Jennys. And your mom's.
