Suddenly I'm having this random thought about this one time when Cicada promised to redesign my blog for my birthday two years ago.
Of course, there may be no legitimate reason for me to call this up. Cicada may not be the designer of this brilliant work of art at all; or she may be, but is getting paid for this job, which would certainly take precedence; or maybe she promised you a blog design three years ago and is just now catching up; maybe she knows that no one reads my blog, while she can get tons of marketing value out of this one since you're a top blogger. Any one of those would be really good reasons, which I could definitely support, and would never, under any circumstances feel bitter about. Let's just say I just decided I'll be holding on to a certain baby sweater for a while. I hope it stretches.
Daltongirl, that'll have to be between you and Cicada, but I CAN tell you that Cicada was not the designer behind this particular work. If that helps at all.
While I know that I might be in the minority, I rather miss your old picture. I am glad that it still comes up in the comments, at least for the moment.
Nem! I love the new look! I just wish that you would add one of those cute little buttons to email your links to friends! I am often forwarding your fun, but this would make it even easier for a computer challenged person like me:)
I'm Steph, a librarian and mom of 3 (not sure how that happened). Let's chat books, food, Sumptuous Literary Adaptations, poop, knitting and maybe some crazy Mormon Feminism.

Awesome.Plunging neckline much? ;)
I was all excited that you were going to post the GAP remodeling commercial by Spike Jonze. Only then Jeri was been here. So that is just as good.
Your wish is my command, sister dear. I'd forgotten about that commercial.
Now we can have BOTH!
This is looking SUPER awesome!

LOVE the commercial. I only wish I'd been in it. I feel so destructive sometimes. Maybe I need to take up racquetball again.

Are you going to change your icon to your new mini-me?
