Not that I'm a vengeful person or anything, but . . .

Dear People Who Bought up All the Wicked Tickets and Are Now Attempting Unsuccessfully to Unload Them for $200-$300+ a Pop Because You Are Vultures Like That,

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I hope you choke on them.

Much love,

Nemesis

Amen to that!

So, my beef is that people who have already seen the play are getting to see it again. And some people were not in the country when the tickets went on sale, and so those people totally missed out on buying the tickets. And some people were planning on going to Chicago to do genealogy some time this summer and were planning on seeing it then only to learn that the play would be leaving Chicago at the new year. So some people are getting to go for the second or third time and other people are never going to get to go. And that is a sad tale, isn't it?

Holy CRAP, some one is trying to sell them for $700!!! No show is worth that kind of money to me. I hope they choke on it too. And then perhaps get their foot ran over by a mail truck

I tried reading the book. I got to the last 100 pages and shut it forever in absolute disgust. Never had an interest in seeing the show. And especially not to the tune of a couple hundred dollars.

And if you say "Incredible Isle Tickets to Wicked"

I'M NOT GOING TO BUY FROM YOU.

Get a freaking education.

I still feel like I'm the only person in the world that loved the book, has never seen the musical and doesn't really care if she ever does.

Just me?

Seriously!! I just wrote how annoyed I am at the $400 prices I'm seeing (I even saw some for 700 freaking dollars!!) I mean, some of us who've not seen it would like to go......

I hope they gag first, then choke, then die.

I hope those people know that for $400 you can fly to San Francisco, stay in a hotel and see Wicked there and then fly home for that much.

Honestly, my life will not be over if I don't because I HAVE seen it once before, but GH never has and it would be fun to go together. I'm going to see what I can swing, and I hope it involves me laughing in the faces of those who couldn't get any bites on KSL and are now trying to scalp them at the door for $250 apiece. Because oh, that will be sweet.

My neighbor is going to San Fran (?) to see Wicked this week because you can get better seats for the same price as the worst seats in SLC WERE selling at their original price. Plus, you can boycott the whole thing in SLC and you get to go to California! If I had money to see Wicked, that is what I would do! Forget the whole $400 plus tickets!

I'm coming to Utah this weekend and when I learned a couple of months ago that Wicked would be in town at the same time, I thought, "Ooo! little culture to balance all the camping."

Boy am I naive.

Azucar--maybe they are selling tickets to the Bahama showing?

I told my husband that if one of us had a job by April 1st when the tickets went on sale, we would go to Wicked in San Antonio. Unfortunately no jobs yet. I listened to the book on CD and loved it. I borrowed the music CD from the library and have watched most of the show on youtube (very bad quality). I would love to see the show, but it will have to wait...

I had almost overcome my bitterness and put this Wicked thing behind me forever.

Thanks.

Also, there should be a rule that people who haven't seen it get first dibs to tickets. And they can only buy enough for their immediate family. I'm calling my congressman to hash out the details of the bill today. Still haven't worked out how to prove you haven't seen it, but now that Google has access to our pharmacy transactions, there's got to be a way to track THIS!

I could write a book on the Utah hoarding mentality.

When Wicked came to Boston, I hemmed and hawed and bit my nails for a while....then I bought four balcony seats 2 weeks after they went on sale.... for $35 each.

Move to Boston. You can come see it with us. =)

Acuzar,

I also loved the book! I am so glad to know there is someone else out there that does too. I had never really wanted see the play but decided to go when my RS put together a group and got a great group price for the tickets. I do not expect to like the play as much as I liked the book.

I have one extra ticket(my husband doesn't really want to go) if anyone wants to fly out to San Francisco and see it with me. Paying me for the ticket will not cost you anywhere near $400.

Hey. If any of that 'swinging' gets you some tickets, could you swing a little harder for people like me who've never seen it? ;-)

i hate stupid people.

HA! I guess the second best thing to saving seats is buying them all up for profit. I've never met so many people intent on making money at the expence of others.

Ummm... me and my sister-in-law had Wicked tickets. We bought them for $50 and they were nose-bleed. I hate to go to any live performace that would look better on TV because I am so far away. So, when we saw people were buying them for $100 a pop... we made a nice $50 profit. I hope they brought paper towels to catch the blood!

I did not mean to be a vulture. We intended to go... but supply and demand!

Man between my love for Sam's Club and my scalping tendencies... I really should probably just stop commenting!
