Just strangle me with the string already

Even with Tivo, I swear I have seen the commercials for that new No Strings Attached movie approximately eleventy billion times. And really? I could do without them.

My first awareness that such a film existed was in a theater where I saw one of those life-sized cardboard cutouts of the movie poster.

My response: "Wait, what??? Natalie Portman? And Ashton Kutcher? Are you kidding me? Natalie Portman who gets nominated for acting awards and does ballet and is multilingual and went to Harvard? Natalie Portman is in a stupid sex comedy with Ashton Where's My Car Kutcher??? Ugh. That is so disappointing. I think my brain is leaking out my ears right now."

GH: "Uhhhhh . . . . "

Yeah, he didn't seem to react quite so unfavorably to the poster. Wonder why that is. . . . And now he doesn't get to watch any of the eleventy billion commercials either, because I'm always there, huffing like a water buffalo and fast-forwarding through them.

Blah.

So, to take my mind off stupid movies who shove their commercials in my face all. the. time, here instead are pictures of a baby so precious that he craps rainbows. (And occasionally some other stuff up to his armpits but we won't get into that here because this is about the cuteness.)

You need to call me. We haven't talked in forever and I need my snark fix. That is all.

No wait. It's not. Your baby is freaking cute. Now that is all.

Holy snot. I can't get over the cuteness that is your baby in a monkey hat. Separately they are cute, but together? Pow! Ovaries aching. I want my own babies in monkey hats NOW!

Cute baby!! Oh, and thank you so much for introducing me to Downton Abbey!! I was so mad that it left me hanging last night. When are they going to do season 2?! I don't think I can handle the wait....

Amber, I KNOW!! I just finished the last episode and couldn't believe that was the end. Darn STRAIGHT there's going to be a season 2. . . a season 2 that hasn't even starting filming yet. :-(

I hate you for having a chubby faced baby in a monkey hat.

Plus dimples, Jen. Did you catch the dimples?

He is SO. CUTE.

That makes two of us (sick of that advertisement). Because really, do we need more movies that advocate fornication?

And your baby even smiles for the camera!! He's a real charmer I tell you!

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with that movie, too. Way to keep things classy, Natalie. I feel slightly smug that it's getting crap reviews, though.

Such a darling boy.

You know, I usually see other people's babies and think, "aw, how cute." And I leave it at that. But I see your baby, never even having met you, and I think, "Holy crap he is SUCH A CUTE BABY!!!!!!!" And I think about munching on his cheeks.

From a totally objective observer - your baby is one of the cutest.

Aw that lil hat is so cute!

Hahahahaha! They should have used Natalie's look-alike and the much disliked Kiera. (Or is that just me?) Doesn't she love to do sleazy, sexy things? (Or is that just my memory of her in Dr. Zhivago?)

Your little monkey boy is too cute for words. I think we need more cute babies in the world. (Or is that just my biological clock ticking away?)

Between the pointy hat and the monkey hat, I'm afraid that I might need to look into knitting. You know, in case I get crazy and think about having another baby to terrorize me and my family for months. Adorable, I tell you!

Shut. The. Front. Door. Could your baby be any cuter??? I think not. Excited to see you guys this weekend, wherein we will watch amazing cinema and I will hold that little baby and possibly try to sneak him into our car.

And somehow I have managed to not see any commercials for that stupid movie. I consider myself blessed.

I keep wondering when I am going to see baby H again. It's very puzzling.

Theric and I had the exact same reaction as you when we saw the huge billboard for 'No Strings'. Yuck. I think that maybe Ms. Portman is trying to change her image a little. Have you seen the trailer for "Your HIghness"? Again, yuck.

I know you made the cute baby but did you also make that adorable hat?

I hate the ads for that movie, too, and this article making fun of it made me laugh.

Thanks again for the Downton Abbey tip. I ended up getting it on iTunes for $10. Best money I ever spent.

YES! That movie looks absolutely awful. I listen to Pandora at work, and they have an even-worse-than-the-tv-commercials ad that is poorly edited to boot. Fills me with rage.

That baby, on the other hand, fills me with a need to procreate. Well done!

You could totally publish a board book of your baby in cute hats. :)

This must be proof positive that I am not watching much TV at all anymore, because I haven't seen any previews for that movie! Sounds like I'm not missing much.

Your baby is darling. That second picture with that sweet smile? Could not be any cuter.

Well from a guy's point of view, it IS Natalie Portman...in a sex comedy! Am trying to forget the Ashton Kutcher part, and, NO, I still won't go see it.

And the little one is totally precious.
