Villain update

Just checking in to say that all is well.

The Tiny Dark Lord had his 3rd birthday this week. For weeks he kept saying he wanted "a blue cake," and then two days before his birthday he changed it to a "brown cake" with "brown ice cream." Much, much better. Blue foods are unholy and not of nature. Chocolate, now, that's totally nature.

He had a great day and loved his cake.

Little Loki is practically a different baby now that, four brands later, we've finally hit on the right formula to feed him. (Did I mention the Breastfeeding Fail 2.0? Because yes.) Gone are the projectile vomits, the hours and hours of evening fussiness, the room-clearing Farts of Death. So although he did reject his family's values by turning his nose up at a Costco product, even Kirkland brand baby formula, I'm willing to overlook it given how much happier and mellow and sleeping and non-screamy he is now.

And I'm starting to be a different person now that I'm getting a bit more sleep. It's too bad though that my brain hasn't come back yet. Last night we left the house for a few hours and came home to find that I'd left one of the stove burners on at Medium-High.

Winning.

I love it! I love seeing pictures of yours since he's the same age as mine. Such cuties. I also loved your use of "even" in this post. Hahaha.

Seeing as I'm liable to leave the stove on even without pregnancy, I shudder to think of what will happen when I do have kids.

So which formula have you decided on that works?

Bridget, I'm glad there was a Mormon Language Nerd out there who could appreciate it! Your little Stirling is such a cutie!!

Yeah, Saskia, it'll be bad. Not going to sugarcoat it...

LibPhoto, it was Similac Sensitive that finally did the trick. And you can buy it at Costco, so that's a (very) small comfort to my budget.

Ugh, I'm sorry about the breastfeeding fail. If any LLL militants give you grief, you have my permission to kick them in the ovaries. OR just let me know and I'll mail them some roadkill. We always have excess roadkill around here!

ALSO, your kids are freaking adorable. Is it weird that you have "kids" and not just "kid?" I always thought the switch to plural was weird.
