Boys in knits!
I get such a massive kick out of seeing these two in things that I knitted for them--extra kicks if they do it willingly.
Something clicked with the Dark Lord and now he loves wearing this hat.
I swear every time I see him in it I want to buy him a pony or sheep or any other farm animal he has his heart set on.
And now I'm trying to knit a scarf for myself, which will probably be finished in about 2016. That's how it goes when you can only get in one row every 3 or 4 days. I just have to remind myself of what the wise Amyjane said after TDL was born and then I feel better: "This is not the Knitting Season, this is the Rocking Babies Season. This is not the Knitting Season . . ." (repeat as needed).

And to think it all began with that pattern in a Martha Stewart magazine. Or maybe not.
I hadn't seen the green hat, cute!
Amyjane is one wise woman. I always call her when I need mom advice. :)
That is wise indeed! I started a sweater for my mom two years ago, then our foster daughter arrived and it still needs sleeves.
He doesn't look STONED in that first pic, he looks like a sleepy, adorable newborn. So there. These pics still make me sigh with how sweet they are.
I said that? I'm smart. ;)
Turns out the newborn season isn't the season for much of ANYTHING besides baby rocking and feeding and changing. But it's okay. It's short. I am telling myself these things because we're heading back there.....and it's been nearly 4 years. Gah! I'm terrified!
AmyJane, I hear you! I had Baby A later than I expected, 4 1/2 years after the previous baby. I must say that a lot of things have come back to me quite nicely, and . . . well, she's my swan song. I'm relishing the sweetness of whatever stage she's in, which, frighteningly, seems to make her grow even faster. You'll be just fine. :)
