Wherein I wax metaphorical

So there are these cherry trees on the way to campus, just near my house. And they seem to have become confused, because around the beginning of December they started blossoming. Now, perhaps this is wrong and an abomination against nature and its laws, but I don't care. When I was sick and dying during my Time of Illness and final projects and stress and Dickens Orphan Christmases as I trudged back and forth from campus, those darn blossoms were almost the only thing that could make me smile and feel okay about life.

If you want to use The Story of the Cherry Trees as an object lesson during a talk or whatever, you can feel free. Just be sure to mention me in it somewhere, and make sure it's not stupid. A few ideas for themes:

Beauty in the midst of ugliness
Promise of rebirth and Spring
The Jesus story
Trees with flowers are better than trees without
Sick people get wacked-out ideas

Oh, this will definitely work it's way into my next lessons, as all my lessons are nothing more than me rambling and the classroom laughing...or sleeping...er...um

Your theme ideas look like a poem. It seems haiku-ish...

Lovely flowers. I see why they were your only ray of hope and happiness during a very dark time.

are we still fighting?

Redlaw--Hey, I'm here to help. Feel free to run your lesson plans by me and I can make up (um, I mean remember) some more meaningful stuff.

Wow, SR. Maybe I just, like, have poetry in my soul!

Lady Steed, I could never stay mad at you. We've made up now.

I can just see it now. The bishop calls me and asks me to speak in church. Assigned topic: 'Beauty in the midst of ugliness.' Normally I'd be like "What the....?!" But now you've given me some resources. Thanks Nem.

You're like a poetry-spouting Nemesis person girl n stuff. I'm happy you have some beauty mixed in with all the ugliness. Back here in the states we have too much ugliness without any beauty. Where I found this out: the fingernail salon on their magazine rack. According to all the mags with pink covers and bubble-letters, ugliness is all around us. Tawdry affairs all...

Oh, and now the word verification is "rbttpmzt." Reminds me of a song:

Come, they told me, rbttpmzt.
Our newborn King to see, rbttpmzt.
Our finest gifts we'll bring, rbttpmzt.
To lay before the King, rbttpmzt, rbttpmzt, rbttpmzt.
So, to honor Him, rbttpmzt. When He comes.

Those flowers are gorgeous!

And stupid's Christmas song is hilarious.

Now people might start thinking up their own ideas, instead of stealing them from lesson manuals and church books. Also Maybe now I can leave this, it looks like the word verification has changed.
