Not much to say today

Except that if y'all want to hear about what a great auntie and future librarian I am, and if you also want to laugh until you start to choke (which is what I did when I got to the end) you might want to check out my sister's latest blog post, on account of how she actually has a funny story to tell and I don't.

Because it's a Bank Holiday tomorrow, I'm heading up to the Preston temple in the next little bit with WR, Banahhhhna, and our Finnish friend and we'll spend Friday there. (Blogger won't let me post a picture right now, but you can see one here.) I'm excited to see how the gardens will look what with it being springtime and all. Also I think the grounds won some kind of UK landscaping award back when they were first completed. But when I expressed my excitement to Banana, she said, "Whatever, Preston? Preston grounds are rubbish." So. There goes that dream, Banana.

Not much else is new. I completely ignored the pile of studying that is waiting for me and accidentally spent most of the morning surfing the Internet. I would probably be a much better person if I didn't have unlimited Internet access. Think of all the time I could spend studying the scriptures and writing my dissertation or maybe a best-selling novel while meditating and knitting leper bandages. I bet that's how Mother Theresa was able to do it. Lucky . . .

Turns out getting rid of the internet worked for me. Sort of. I bake more and eat better meals, but I also get a lot more homework done.

About writing that novel...

I copied and pasted my entire blog into word. It's 287 pages single-spaced and it's 105,000 words. So then I think, "If I just dedicate the same amount of time to WRITING as I do to blogging every day, I could seriously start making money."

Only will I do that? Probably not.

Wow, I should copy MY blog into word...and then make it flow, like a story and then try to get it published as a novel....and now every blogger is going to run out and do that as well...oh well, guess I'll just stick to the blog.

Nem, the Temple looks lovely - have a good time! Take pics and send them to us all!

I appreciate you thinking I'm funny. but the whole 'she acutally has something funny to say' took away a little of the joy. Are you saying I'm not funny but only on rare occassions? I'll get you for that one
(just you wait Enry Iggins.)

Yeah, only it turns out crocheting leper bandages is the way to go. It took me two years to knit my first one, and about two weeks to get through my second one crocheting. I bet THAT's how Mother Teresa was able to do it. She didn't knit.

!!!!

Now I have to say in my defence that you have quoted me out of context!!!!

What I actually said was compared to the London Temple Preston's grounds are rubbish!
If you don't hear from me again I've probably been zapped for blasphemy! But its so true!

Is Banana our grandmother?

I'm Back...!!:)

Um, cbh, does she sound like our grandmother? :-)

She's my English friend, and it helps if you pronounce "banana" the English way. That's how I remember the difference.

To everyone wondering just what we're smoking, we do call our grandmother Banana. It started when I couldn't say "Nana" properly.

Well, I didn't think it was her. It just threw me for a second.

And by pronouncing banana the "english" way you mean like: Bernaner, right?
