It is time to speak of British Man Candy

HOW excited am I about the new Elizabeth: The Golden Age trailer? First off, it's rated PG-13 instead of R. Second and most importantly they've traded in mopey-pants Joseph Fiennes for Clive Owen. That is the kind of upgrade I can live with.

Ha! I checked your blog with one eye closed to see if you would have a Harry Potter review posted already. Having not read past chapter 2, I'm avoiding any spoilers.

Have you heard of Becoming Jane? Coming out in August. I'll have to check out this movie; I love that time period in British history. Have you seen Lady Jane? Helena Bonham Carter and Cary Elwes when they were still practically teenagers. VERY romantic. Except for the obligatory beheadings.

The Britains have most of the nice man candy. Sigh. Life can be unfair that way.

Great trailer. Another flick to add to my list. And yes, Clive Owen is generally a good upgrade. I have to admit though....Cate Blanchett kinda bugs, but I'm sure I can get past that.

Oooh, that actually looks half-decent! I just hope they don't actually give all the credit for *cough* to the British, seen as the weather did most of the work!

No offense intended, but every movie I see about her plays her to be quite the odd duck. I wonder what she was like in real life, and not hundreds of years later all Hollywoodized. I would guess a good book might be a start. But that's still hundreds of years after the fact and from a modern perspective. I don't think she should've killer her cousin either. Jane got a very raw deal, apparently thanks to mom and pop.

Looks amazing! I've never felt one way or the other about Clive Owen, but I am suddenly finding him quite attractive. Also, who can pass up British history?

But...but...what about Ioan???

Mary Stuart had it coming.

I claimed Clive first, he's mine, you can't have him. You can have your Ioan, I'll take my Clive.
