Yes, this video speaks to me

Which I find a bit alarming. Also, in the beginning when the guy places the book back on the shelf I totally stiffened and hissed "Oh You Did NOT."

You'll have to show me the foot flapping number she does after he puts the book back on the shelf. Looks like it takes practice--and an MLS.

Personally, I stiffened when he dog-eared the page in the book. I may have maybe even kinda sorta lunged at the screen to throttle him. I guess it's no surprise that when I loan out my personal books, I loan them out with a bookmark.

Is he the guy who highlights books at BYU? Maybe instead of fineing him they should have put him inside the special shelves in periodicals.

I don't even dog ear my own books. I use a book mark. That was an awesome video. How do you find these things?

I...want to check..out...all of your.....books... Hehe.
Everyone knows you're supposed to leave books on the tables. Amateurs.

That. Was Awesome.

I still have trouble being tactful when patrons insist on reshelving books "to save me the trouble."

Is it bad to want to reshelve a book? Is that a cardinal sin in the world of libraries?

Miss N, you should totally post about No-No's of the Library World. I would hate to be an unknowing offender of The Rules.

Nomadic Gnome, it's just that people usually put things back in the wrong spot. (I know YOU wouldn't, but other people would.) And then that book might as well be buried in the backyard under a mound of horse dung for all the good it'll do anyone.

Sorry, but someone has to stand up for that poor guy. He didn't know the Official Library Rules.

Those ladies wanted to squish him even before giving him a chance. Frightening, really.

Sorry, lu-lu. I could cut him some slack in the beginning, but as soon as the gum went under the table he was dead to me.

Awesome! It must be nice to know there are people writing songs about librarians out there.

Also, do you wear super cute/hot shoes like those librarians to your library of employment?
