Happy Halloween, everyone!

We're doing a Wizard of Oz costume theme at work. We have a Glinda, a Dorothy, a Toto, and the Tin Man will be coming in this afternoon. Even though people might think I'm the Wicked Witch, I know that actually I am Elphaba, which means I rock.

What's everyone else being for Halloween?

I was going to be scare quotes, but I just didn't have the time. I'm sure that all the mommies already think that you're the wicked bitch.

Whoops! Typo!

I was six years old the last time I dressed up. Up until then I was forced into it. I hated Halloween as a kid, hated it.

I dressed as a Spanish teacher.

Or it could just be that I'm too lazy to dress up...

Hurray! Wicked is the best. I actually saw the picture and thought "It's Wicked!" Instead of Wizard of Oz.

I think if I was my hair and put makeup on I'm dressing up as the happy, sane version of myself. haha.

A bag of plain M&M's. DesDad's going to be a bag of peanut M&M's (I don't like peanut ones).

I'm lazy: I didn't dress up this year. But I did dress up my baby, Garrett. He went as a baby carrot. It was awesome.

I worked in a preschool last year and we had the same theme. I was Glinda. I think your Glinda is a bit better, I had to utilize an old bridesmaid's dress.

p.s. Sorry about the deleted comment, I had trouble with the link.

:D FUN!! I seriously considered being Elphaba, but decided to go with a costume I already have. I'm a princess. But not the creepy stuck up spoiled kind. The regal kind.

Um, Cicada, have you looked at your keyboard lately, the "b" is no where near the "w". But, nice try.

If I'd dressed up, I'd have been Elphaba as well. Witches are the best!

I was the busy mom trying to get her kids ready, her pumpkins carved and the halls all decked. It turned out well.

I love Halloween!

50's girl. Not terribly original, but easy since I already owned the poodle skirt and saddle shoes (actually, Keds that I painted to look like saddle shoes -- much more comfortable).

Wicked!

Have you read the one about the ugly stepsister?

Toto, I've a feeling you're not in Kansas any longer.

Did you see Ugly Betty last night? Three of the main characters went to see Wicked on Broadway and they showed scenes from the actual production. It ended with Betty and her boyfriend accidentally ending up on screne interupting the whole Defying Gravity song. Very funny and fun to see a bit of Wicked again.

I don't post here often, but anyone who dresses up as Elphaba is one cool chick in my book. Like we didn't already know that...
I pulled off my coolest costume ever. I was THE Guitar Hero.

Being the literary one, did you that Elphaba's name was based on the name L F Baum?

Just throwing it out there, totally random like!

And yes, I work on the show...and know way too much about it! But wouldn't trade the job for anything else.

Really enjoy reading your blog. Thought you might be someone else I use to follow thru their dating blog. Her blog name was Miss Nemesis and her writing reminded me of your's, but you didn't spend any time in NYC, did you?
