Breathe . . . I can do hard things.

Remember that one time when I went to Pizzeria 712 and gained carnal knowledge of their Amano cheesecake and also ran into Kayla and Janssen? That was a good time. As we chatted I told Kayla that her blog always makes me think that one day I too can look put together. ("We too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident . . . ")

Well. She is maybe going to help me out here. On August 15th she's going to start . . . dun dun duuunn . . . the 21 Day Challenge.

21 Day Challenge

As she explains it,

For 21 days I will post a daily outfit prompt. Each Saturday I'll post the list of prompts for the week so you have some time to prepare, then the day before I'll put up a more detailed post with inspiration pictures.

Then you take a picture of what you came up with and either put it on your blog or on the Flickr page she's set up, and based on your participation you get your name entered into drawings for cool things. And maybe, if you're me, you won't be schlubbing around for a change wearing the clothes you meant to work out in 7 hours ago and which now have the additional bonus of baby bodily fluids and crazy hair. (Yeah. I'm so sexy I don't know how GH can even leave in the morning. Mrawr.)

I am assuming this challenge can be done without running out to buy new clothes, because that isn't an option for me. And I would quite like it if this can be done by having Kayla show up at my house and just throw things at me and say, "Here, put this on. Also, go brush your teeth, woman. This isn't The Road."

Anybody else up for it?

I'm doing it too. And I am afraid.

That last part made me cackle.

Welcome aboard!

I saw this too, but unless the 21 Day challenge is to wear a t-shirt with some sort of casual pant for 21 days straight, I think it would be pretty much impossible for me. (Ruffles? Texture? Pattern? These are not part of my clothing vocabulary.)

Just practice your "Blue Steel" and you'll knock everyone's socks off.
