Vigilance, people. Vigilance.

I've gotten to GH. First there was the bobcat, and now this:

We were walking out to the car when he spotted tracks in the snow along the path and freaked out because now I've made him paranoid about the mountain lions that are waiting nearby to kill us all. (Except they probably totally are.)

I told him it was probably just a dog. But I took a picture just in case. According to Google Images, our uninvited guest was a dog. This time. But I love that my husband now watches the ground for tracks. It's like how we Alaskan kids always had to keep an eye out for moose tracks in the snow, because so help me you do NOT want to surprise a moose. That is how you die.

In other, happier news, here I am dressed with the boys today for church in our Christmas finery:

Why is it that photographs are willing to tell you things that the mirror is just keeping to itself?
Because WOW that is some stringy cave-troll hair right there. Yikes.

And here are the outtakes!

don't even ask

pre-sneeze

Nice pictures - so I'm asking? Was Henry mad that cow wasn't in the photo?

Oops! That's mom, signed in as Dad cause I can't get into our computer anymore. Thank you Microsoft for the rude update.

Aw, poor TDL! I love him from afar.

Also, honey, your hair looks great!

Finally, I'm glad that GH is aware of and vigilant about potential wildlife threats. You NEVER know.

The baby's outfit is so so adorable. I kept meaning to get baby Stella a stripey outfit and I just never got around to it. blah.

I'm glad you don't have mountain lions leaving tracks on the front porch (yet).

I hate that about photographs. I prefer to believe I am still 25 and thin and beautiful! And I love every photo that reinforces that image and trash every one that doesn't.
