February, I swear you are the other f-word
The Month Who Shall Not Be Named has decided to give me one last roundhouse kick to the face in the form of a nasty, nasty cold.
I called GH's Grammy and got her recipe for chicken noodle soup, which I have been sucking down all day. (One of her secrets is that she adds a can of cream of chicken soup to it. It figures that MSG would have to be involved for it to taste this good.) And I'm drinking this cayenne/apple cider vinegar/honey tea concoction that my friends swear will help me get better faster. I hope so, because it tastes like bile.
The best part was when my sweet germaphobe husband came home from work and said, "You look and sound awful. You should just go upstairs to bed now, that way you won't touch anything else. I will take care of the Dark Lord."
So I got to snuggle up in bed with Netflix on my iPad and watch a French romantic comedy set in the world of chocolate. That is called a win.
Next up: Jiro Dreams of Sushi
Please cross fingers that I get some sleep tonight. Last night around midnight I actually put on my old Hypnobabies relaxation tracks and listened to them on earbuds, hoping they would put me to sleep the way they used to. Turns out I'd forgotten that all the tracks were still on there, as I woke up an hour or so later to a voice giving me instructions on how to push. I kind of don't want to think about where that could have gone.

Labor and sleeping. A pardox.
Back in my single days I called Valentine's Day "VD." Yeah, and all that implies. February has long been a nemesis.
Blurg. Feel better. If it makes you feel any better, I was up at the same time as you so I could pee, because I haven't managed to sleep through the night since freaking October.
It totally is the other f-word. I hate it. We are so close to spring... so close...
The bit about pushing in your sleep made me snort laugh. :)
Bahahahaha! That last line made me spit water at my computer!
Aw, shoot. I have to admit, though, that the title of this post made me giggle. A lot. I may still be doing just that.
Feel better! That junk is the worst, but I'm glad you have some good soup and Netflix to keep you company.
Bah! I hope you feel better soon! I saw Jiro Dreams of Sushi, I thought it was pretty interesting. It also made me want sushi, not that I normally need any persuasion, of course... I'll have to check out that other one, surely you can't go wrong with France and chocolate!
Hope you are feeling better.
