Oh Hugh. Is there anything you don't do?
Last night during the Academy Awards ceremony, Jennifer Lawrence tripped on her dress as she went up to get her award for Best Actress. She caught herself on her hands but took a moment before she started to stand back up (was probably laughing and/or wanting to die).
As she stood up we could see Hugh Jackman rushing up into the shot to offer a hand. Because of course Hugh Jackman would be the one to run up there.
She didn't noticed him coming before she got up on her own. (And it turns out that Bradley Cooper, her castmate and seat partner, was also on his feet heading toward her.) But I bet if she'd seen Hugh coming, she would have waited to get up. I know I would have. That's probably in, like, the Rules of Life or something:
If HUGH JACKMAN comes rushing up to save you, you forget feminism and LET HIM DO IT.

I'm pretty sure all the women in the world fell in love with him all over again last night. I probably would have languished on the stairs for a bit. Maybe needing him to carry me the rest of the way?
Yup. Spot on. You'd even be forgiven for faking a swoon and for draping your arm over your forehead and calling him "My hero!" breathlessly.
Awesome that she fell (that's exactly why I avoid anything that could land me at that ceremony) and awesome that he came to pick her up.
I wish Jackman looked like THAT in Les Mis. He looked horrible.
Yeah, I think she went down on purpose. In fact, if I ever come across Brad OR Hugh, I'm going to fake a swoon just on the off-chance that they would rescue.
And Abby, yeah. I had a friend say that you can drop Hugh Jackman in a sewer and he still looks hot. Um . . . not so much my opinion.
Completely agree. I turned on the TV late one afternoon when I was done with work. He was a guest on the Katie Couric show (right before Les Mis came out) and he had her giggling like a school girl. Because who wouldn't, when they're sitting next to HIM?! :)
AMEN! Even fake some tears or keep fake blood in your pocket to have him pampering you for the rest of the night!
