Conversation between me and my new director
As she saw the library's copy of Wives and Daughters get checked back in:
New Director: That's the best movie.
Me: Yeah, it's really good. Have you seen . . . North and South?
(this is absolutely a test)
ND: OH yeah. Love that one. That last scene is pretty much perfect.
Me: At the train station? I know! OH! Or what about the part where she drives away in the snow--
ND:---And he's like, "LOOK BACK! LOOK BACK AT ME!!!!
Me: Baaahhhhhggghhh!
And then we embraced and started sobbing. As would you.
Except we didn't really.
But I think we'll get along okay. People who like North and South are generally right-thinking, I find.
And here's another one, just because it's Thursday and I like you.

I really do worry about you sometimes.
Whatever, dude. I know what's in your Netflix queue.
That's it. I need to watch North & South again. *drool*
Well, could I get a job at your library when I graduate with my MSIS? I mean, I do live half a continent away, but psah, details.
I just saw North and South for the first time a couple months ago and it kind of devastated me that I had never seen it before. I wanted to snuggle with my screen every time he came on.
Yay North & South. Time to watch it again, I think. Since there's nothing good out right now anyway.
What a wonderful way to start my Thursday TVboyfriend extravaganza. What with a whole hour of Jammy goodness on The Office tonight.
Um... I've never even heard of North and South. *ducks*
I guess I'll be using my mad library skillz and ordering a copy.
Ooh, a kindred spirit. I'm happy for you.
I have a feeling I would get along with your new director too. No wonder I enjoy your blog so much.
Have you seen him in "Vicar of Dibley: A Holy Wholly Happy Ending"? Absolutely dreamy.
Glad you found a kindred spirit. It always helps to work with right-thinking people.
Also--never seen North and South. Hooray for Netflix, though, I'll have to go stick it in my queue. I've learned about so many good movies (and books from you). It should be perfect for downtime after finals.
Isn't it lovely to find that you're working with a kindred spirit? It sounds like you will get along just fine!
GAhh! No way! to have a kindred spirit like that as your new director!
