Not that we don't have a very committed relationship or anything

We have tickets to go see a film at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend, which also happens to be Opening Weekend, also known as the time where movie stars freeze their booties off along Main Street while finding out just hard it is to get drunk in Utah.

GH: So what do we do if we see famous people? Do we play it cool or do we freak out and ask for autographs?

Me: I think we should play it cool.

GH: Yeah, they hate it when you freak out. Only if we're like standing in line next to somebody then it's only polite to make conversation.

Me: Sure.

GH: Also, just so you know, if I see Zooey Deschanel, I'm running after her and leaving you standing there.

Me: Got it.

GH: What about you, do you have anyone at the festival to love? You're kind of a movie man . . .

Me: Hmph. Paul Giamatti.

GH: . . . whore like that. Wait, who??

Me: Wait, did you just call me a whore?

I don't think my kind of men are going to be at Sundance. Maybe if the film festival were held in London. In 1802.

But speaking of being among the famous, did you see that the NieNie book, Something Cleverish, is now available? And that you can read me lumped in with actual glowing, shimmering stars of the blogging firmament? This book is going to be fabulous, and all the proceeds go to the NieNie Recovery Fund.

And did I mention how cute the cover is? I just bring that up in case you have a heart of stone and things like recovery funds and My One Chance at Glory have thus far failed to move you.

Zooey's cuter than Paul

Zooey played Jovie in "Elf"... my daughters name is Jovie... that is where we got the name (yes, from a cheesy (but fun) Christmas movie)... so she has a special place in my heart!

I worked event staff at BYU and these was a girl who claimed that while at the Sundance Film Festival she was killed by Ben Afflek (around the Good Will Hunting Days). Apparently he was talented enough to get drunk in Utah and planted a really good smooch on her! If that happened to me I would have made a t-shirt and wore it every day "Ben Affleck kissed me!" (Not that he is my particular favorite or anything, but what a nice notch on your 'kissing' belt... since that is the only notches we Mormons can have)!

I feel like Zooey is EVERYWHERE all of a sudden.

(Also. . .the switch to a partial feed? It is killing me!)

I just caught up on several of your posts and must say, again, that I love, love your blog. Seriously. Even much more than another blog that starts with, "Seriously..." Although I do like that one too. :)

Agree that Zooey is a little cuter than Paul. Clive could give her a run for her money, but I don't think he'll be at Sundance...

Paul Giamatti is pretty awesome.

Your partial feed is pretty not awesome.

Maleen, I hope so. Although I think I would probably just stand back and let GH have his shot with her. Because it would make an awesome blog post.

Th., Zooey is definitely a cutie. This is why I did her the justice of finding a nice pic rather than an "I'm standing around at an awards show with shiny nose" pic. I only picked Paul as an indicator of the kind of guys we're likely to see there. Indie film girls tend to be cuter that than the boys, I think.

Awwww, Jovie is a cute name, Audra. And really, Ben Affleck? He doesn't seem like he'd make a very cute drunk, but of course I wasn't there.

Janssen, okay, I know, I know, I know, okay. I hate partial feeds too. And I'm sorry. It's mostly an experiment to find out how many readers I really have and whether it's enough for me to find some advertisers and let GH quit his job so I can keep him in style. (Somehow I doubt it . . . )

EmandTrev, THANK YOU! You are so nice. Also, I miss you. I need to plan a day to come up to L**** and have some girl time, dangit. And yeah, SERIOUSLY about Clive Owen. Why do the hot guys only make the blockbusters and the talented frog-looking guys (and Ethan Hawke) make the indie films? Huh? Not fair.

Sherry, I know, I know, see the above message to Janssen. Please do not take away your love.

hat partial feeds too.
Seriously, it's funny that I am annoyed that I had to CLICK once more to read the full post!

Zooey woud probably think it was very cool if GH just came running at her like that. I mean, who doesn't like a good stalker.

And for a minute I thought someone said they were "killed" by BA, until I read the context of course. It is definitely the best typo of the day.

And honestly, Nem. London in 1802? All I can think is men with bad teeth, body odor and fetal alcohol syndrome. Or do you mean London in 1802 IN A MOVIE? Oh, right. That's okay then.

STM, I absolutely mean London in 1802 in a movie. About 10 movies, actually, because then I could have all the hot SLA men there at once.

OH NO!! When I read that someone had written Killed instead of Kissed... I just KNEW that was me! So I went back and checked and YEP... me! I think faster than I type and I NEVER read over my comments before I publish them! I really should. I have a fried mommy brain! Thank goodness I can edit posts on my own blog because I have written some wacky things!

The crazy thing is "l" is no where near the "s"... so it much have been my subconsious typing!

If they held that Festival in 1802 you'd run into me. Sigh.

I just got that need to buy a book with a cause behind it. Thanks for the push :)
