How Horatio ended slavery because he is JUST that hot

Oh my gosh. Oh. Oh my gosh. The fine ladies over at Romancing the Tome have alerted us that the promotional materials for the new Ioan Gruffudd (aka Horatio Hornblower, aka My Boyfriend and Ardent Love Slave) movie are out.

Seriously. Go watch the trailer, found here.

Please please please let it be good. Please let it will be wonderful and win Best Picture and please let Ioan be wonderful and win Best Actor and then he can come to my house afterwards and I will show him how we librarians celebrate. It involves a heated pot of Nutella, a paintbrush, and some Dewey Decimal numbers.

I'm glad you've not forgetting any of that useful Dewey Decimal stuff. You never know when it might be needed :-)

Watch it be rated 'R'......

So when is this being released? I haven't seen any of the Horatio Hornblower series (I know, sacrilege!) so it would be nice to have an Ioan Gruffudd reference other than the Fantastic Four movie and Burberry ads in InStyle. But also, when it is released has a lot of influence over its chances for Oscar recognition. Sadly, if it is released before Sept./Oct., it has a much smaller chance of being recognized.

Thats just nasty. Thanks for a mental image I will never be able to get out. Libray books will never look the same, and I don't think I can ever look at a bottle of Nutella in the eyes again.

Holy Horatio Batman! I so have to see this movie. Too bad I'm not in the area. I could contribute brie and french bread to the nutella treat. Can't wait till I can see this.

Excited. Giddy. And unbable to focus on my work now. When my boss gets after me for watching the trailer 50 times today, I will blame you. And your Dewey Decimals.

Oh. My. Gosh. It must be good. It must. And when you break out the Nutella, Ioan must look at you the way he's looking at that tart in the trailer.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
As the owner of the Horatio series, I would've been commiting vilest slander if I didn't know about this movie.
Bless you.
and the Nutella, too.
